Hello and welcome to Buckeye Country Kennel (BCK’s). This is the home of one Chocolate Labrador Retriever and a pack of American Cocker Spaniels – as well as their humans.
In 2016, dog breeding & showing was just a dream that I had. Little did I know that I was going to become a fourth generation dog breeder in my family, and that my two girls would join me and carry on this legacy!
In 2022, we started showing our dogs in AKC Conformation shows, which are for the purpose of judging breeding stock. How does each dog compare to the written breed standard – that is what the judges are judging!! March of 2022, Drew went to his first show and we learned a lot, met some new people that have been in the show world for 30-50+ years. Drew spent just a few months with a wonderful mentor & professional handler, and completed his AKC Championship August 23, 2022.
After years of researching our dogs and temperament testing with them, having all of their OFA testing, as well as full DNA and genetics, this has become a reality. Knowing that we are starting out with healthy, properly tested, and sound dogs allows us to know that we are producing quality puppies that are happy, healthy, and well adjusted before they leave our home and arrive with their new family.
With this reality, we have opted to become a member of the Good Dog Breeder family. We use Good Dog for all of our applications, as well as for deposits and payments for our puppies.
All of our dogs are AKC registered and are part of our family. They live in our house, lay on our couch, and sleep in our beds. Our dogs go on car rides, walks, vacations with us, and even to group training exercises.
So if you’re looking for an American Cocker Spaniel, you have come to the right place and we look forward to you becoming a part of BCK’s legacy and extended family. Once a BCK dog means always a BCK dog.
